Morning Prayer
We start off each school day with Morning Prayer. The Morning Prayer is taken from many rich parts of the Catholic tradition: liturgical prayers, themes from the liturgical year, lives of the saints, and traditional prayers among other resources. The Morning Prayer is not only a way to dedicate our entire day to the Lord, it is also a time to recall and cherish important parts of the Catholic tradition.
Liturgies
When we gather for Eucharist, we participate in the source and the summit of our Christian life together. The Masses at St. Michael’s Catholic Academy are an important expression of our faith in Jesus Christ. Nourished by the Word and Eucharist, we are moved to participate more fully in God’s unfolding Kingdom.
Weekly Mass
Mass is celebrated every week on Thursday mornings at 10:10 AM in Christ Chapel when school is in session. Usually, one class (senior, junior, sophomore or freshman) attends each week.
All-School Mass
In addition to the weekly Mass, our school year is highlighted by all-school liturgies. Students, faculty, staff and guests gather in the Schneider gym to pray as a school community. The school year begins with the Mass of the Holy Spirit, and concludes with our year-end liturgy. The school year is then punctuated by Catholic feast days such as All Saint's Day, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception and Ash Wednesday.
