Campus ministry strives to provide every student with the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Retreats are an integral way each student is challenged to grow in Christian self-understanding, to develop a life of prayer and worship, and to respond to Christ's call to serve others. Retreats are considered so essential to our mission, that each class spends an entire school day on retreat. Class retreat days can be found on the school calendar.
Kairos
In addition to our class retreat days, we offer the Kairos retreat program for upperclassmen. Seniors and invited juniors are encouraged to make one of three Kairos retreats throughout the school year. Held at Cedarbrake Retreat Center in Belton, TX, Kairos is a 4 day religious retreat program grounded in Christian incarnational theology that is a Christian awakening retreat. It is an experience of Christian community with a series of talks given by students and adults. Prayer and the sacraments are an essential part of the program as well as the retreatant’s involvement in discussions and other exercises. Kairos retreats take place in October, February and April.
