Las Posadas is a
traditional pageant recalling the journey of Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem. From door to
door the holy pair wanders seeking refuge from the cold and rest from their long
journey. Their request is a humble one, an appeal for the most basic
hospitality, yet they are forced to ask many times before they find the shelter
that they seek.
Las Posadas de San
Miguel is
held each year during
the Advent Season. This
year the date is set for
December 6, 2009. Parents work with the Campus Ministry, Theology, Foreign Language and Fine Arts
faculty and with SMCA students and student organizations to deliver the
event.
We are prayerfully asking for volunteers to help
plan and host this event rich in tradition. If
